About the Cash Volt game
Review of Cash Volt
The Theme and Story Line
Cash Volt turns classic slot machine icons into a retro gameshow scoreboard. The lighting, color scheme, and buttons resemble shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Mastermind, but with an added electric feel. The style works quite well, even though slots and gameshows have very different gameplay mechanics. The two worlds never stop colliding.
Graphics, Sounds, and Animations
The graphics are good, with realistic backgrounds and symbols. The animations are competent but lack imagination. Cash Volt has a funky disco soundtrack with a strong electronic 70s vibe, accompanied by basic win and spin sounds that complement the overall tone. The buzzing of electricity and sparks flying is on-theme.
Gameplay
Cash Volt is a standard five-reel slot with three rows and 20 win lines. The game's quirks are mostly in the Cash Volt Bonus, which provides enough variety to keep things interesting at a decent pace.
Wilds, Bonuses, and Free Spins
Cash Volt doesn’t feature a traditional Wild symbol or bonuses; it does have a Scatter, however. Six or more Scatters on the reels pay out a multiple of the player's bet per spin, with more Scatters leading to higher payouts. Filling all 15 spots on the reels with Scatter symbols wins x2,500. There are no free spins, so the Scatter payouts serve as the closest thing Cash Volt has to a bonus feature.
Bet Sizes, RTP, and Variance
The game's RTP is 95.71%, slightly below our benchmark of approximately 96%. The betting range is $/£/€0.20 to $/£/€20.00 per spin. The game's volatility is medium, which makes it a poor match for our preferred slot machine strategies targeting the highest possible volatility.
Conclusion
While Cash Volt has a stylish design, the low RTP is a major drawback. The bonuses and gameplay are basic and solid, but lack the flare needed to make up for the shortcomings of this slot. We do not recommend Cash Volt highly.
